A delightful 200-year-old stone built cottage situated in the quiet village of Sedbergh, this property is the perfect base for exploration of the beauty that the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District has to offer.
Boasting a cosy lounge and all modern amenities, this cottage is ideal for couples and families to experience the local areas and the two national parks that are within easy reach. It was once home to the local saddler who lived and worked in the cottage and, while it has been converted to include all facilities needed for a holiday cottage, the original beamed ceilings and stone nooks that give this property its unique character have been retained.
The cottage has two bedrooms, including one master bedroom with king-size bed and one twin room, as well as a bathroom. Holme Fell View also has a cosy lounge/dining room with a gas stove and a kitchen, making it the perfect spot to kick back feel at home.
The village of Sedbergh lies within the Yorkshire Dales national park and has been voted the designated book town of England. The pretty village is home to a wealth of bookshops, selling everything from rare antique books to modern-day classics. There is also a wide range of pubs and restaurants to enjoy and the potential to indulge in riverside and hilltop walks right on your doorstep.
Sedbergh is just five miles from the M6 motorway and the Lake District is also just a short drive away, with the popular Bowness-on-Windermere only a 20-minute journey and the thriving town of Kendal only nine miles up the road.
Perfectly located within easy reach of two of England's most spectacular national parks, Holme Fell View is the ideal spot for a getaway all year round.
Sedbergh (pronounced Sed-Ber), set at the foot of the dramatic and wild Howgill Fells, is an ancient market town in northern Dentdale. Sedbergh is situated just inside the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is only 12 miles from the Lake District National Park. The town, with its narrow streets, little shops, traditional pubs, famous school dating back to 1525 and its 12th century church, has an olde worlde atmosphere.
