The location is highly praised for its convenience to the village centre, railway station, and proximity to local attractions. It is considered an ideal base for exploring the area, contributing to a high score.

The majority of guests found the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of comfy furnishings and beds. However, one review noted insufficient seating and dining space for larger parties, slightly lowering the score.

It was a great location for exploring the area and the station was a bonus. We really liked the cottage but felt the space was too tight in the sitting room to accommodate 7 adults comfortable. This was the same with the dinning area. The lights in the bedroom next to the bathroom did not work and there seemed to be a bedside cupboard missing. Kitchen cupboards were not as clean as we would expect. Cobwebs between fridge and cupboard. Baking trays & toast rack would have been useful. These comments seem " picky" but we are used to exceptional standards at other Sykes cottages we have stayed in.

The property owner was really welcoming and helpful. Great location for access to south Lakes. Our girls especially enjoyed having the upstairs bedroom and bathroom to themselves.
