Guests say

Westwinds is a well-regarded cottage in Cumbria, praised for its cleanliness, stunning views, and comfortable furnishings. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and the quality of the bed linen and towels. The property's hilltop location offers great vistas but may challenge those with mobility issues. The conservatory is a highlight, providing a lovely space to enjoy the scenery.

The majority of guests found Westwinds to be spotlessly clean, with high-quality bed linen and towels. A few isolated incidents of a strange aroma and wet towels were mentioned, but these appear to be exceptions rather than the norm.

The location is highly praised for its views and proximity to local attractions. However, the steep hill access and steps within the property may not suit everyone, particularly those with mobility issues.

Guests report that the beds are very comfortable and the property spacious. Some concerns were raised about the suitability of the twin rooms for adults and the presence of steps, but overall, the comfort level is high.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and good Wi-Fi. Some maintenance issues were noted, such as a problematic TV and a vacuum cleaner not working. The heating system was also mentioned as being difficult to adjust.

While guests have mentioned welcome snacks and the provision of games, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful touches or gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such amenities are appreciated but not guaranteed.

Elevated situation with lovely views and within walking distance from train station and town centre although quite a climb back up to the property but worth it. Enclosed garden. Really well equipped. Loved the conservatory.
