Step into your new eco-friendly haven constructed entirely from timber, most of which being larch felled locally, and insulated with sheep’s wool, creating a rustic and warm home for you to relax in! Glide into the open-plan living space upon hardwood floors and fall onto a red, plush sofa and into a story on the TV in the sitting area. Whip up a delicious dinner with the help of an electric oven and hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer and dig in at a dining table for four. For the days when cooking isn’t on the agenda, a vegetarian restaurant is on-site for your use! Drink in the last few drops of sun in the wraparound decking, then rinse off the day in an en-suite bath or shower, as the dishwasher and washer/dryer take care of your plates and laundry. When sleep calls, answer it in a double or twin bed waiting to catch you. Soak up your surroundings with a scenic stroll through Thacka Beck Nature Reserve, absorb the local history with a visit to Hutton in the Forest and Brougham Castle, then top off the day with a much earned bite at The Dog and Gun Inn. The bustling market town of Penrith, once the capital of Cumbria, enjoys a central position between the Lake District, the Westmoorland Dales and North Pennines and is ideally placed for taking in all that the region has to offer. Renowned for its wealth of specialist shops, the sandstone buildings of Penrith hide intriguing yards, lanes and alleyways, with a myriad of attractive cottages, gardens and little shops. With a wide choice of excellent pubs, hotels, restaurants and entertainment, Penrith also offers a museum, and Millennium Trails round the historic city streets. Within easy reach of the town is Rheged – an innovative visitor centre with shops, restaurants, exhibitions and a giant cinema screen showing educational and informative films.
