Guests are overwhelmingly pleased with Holmere Bank, praising its stunning decor, impressive views, and entertainment options like the games and cinema rooms. The property's location is appreciated for its quietness and proximity to attractions. Comfort is highlighted with cosy bedrooms and ample space. Some minor issues with kitchen equipment and bedroom ventilation are noted, but these do not detract from the overall excellent experience.
The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness. However, a few guests mentioned pet hairs and a dirty grill upon arrival, suggesting room for improvement. The majority of reviews do not raise cleanliness as an issue, indicating satisfaction in this area.
The location is highly regarded for its quiet setting and ease of access to local attractions, including the RSPB reserve, the lakes, the coast, and nearby villages. The convenience of the location for exploring both Yorkshire and Cumbria is a recurring positive point.
Guests find the property comfortable, with special mentions of the cosy bedrooms and the warmth of the house. Some concerns about bedroom windows not opening and affecting the temperature at night are noted, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.
The property's facilities, including the games room, cinema room, and EV charging point, are well-received. However, several guests mention a lack of adequate kitchen equipment for large groups and some maintenance issues like unusable scissors and a shortage of saucepans, which affects the score.
