Galgate 3 miles. The Lodge House is a stunning holiday home settled onto the Wyreside Estate, near the charming village of Galgate near Lancaster. Located so close to the Forest of Bowland National Landscape and a scenic drive away from the Lake District National Park, couples and smaller groups will enjoy a peaceful and rural retreat away from the bustle of city life. As you enter, you'll be greeted by stunning pillars that add a touch of elegance to the entrance. The property boasts a beautiful garden with a tranquil pond and seating area, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Guests are welcome to use the grounds of Wyreside for walking and enjoying the River Wyre. Inside you'll find a contemporary, open-plan living space inviting you to unwind and enjoy each other's company in style. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen or sink and cuddle into the sofas for a movie night. When sleep calls, retreat to one of two nicely-presented bedrooms and catch your rest, then wake up the next day and freshen up with a shower before setting off on an adventure. In the lovely village of Galgate, treat yourselves to a filling meal at The Plough pub before taking a stroll along Galgate Waterside & Marina or a hike through Glasson Flight Canal Path - East. A stone's throw away is the beautiful city of Lancaster where you can visit the stunning, Gothic Lancaster Cathedral, for a touch of history head to Lancaster City Museum, and end this trip with a riverside dinner at Wagon & Horses. Those lucky enough to be travelling during the summer can drive up to the seaside town of Morecambe where you'll be able to enjoy a beach day out at Morecambe Beach, walk along the promenade and up to the Stone Jetty for sweeping water views and why not pack some lunch for a picnic at Regent Park?
