The street market is held every Thursday, another exciting shopping treat. Running right through the centre of the town is the peaceful Lancaster Canal, where you can watch the passing canal boats cruise by and enjoy the abundance of wildlife it supports. The nearby Millennium Green, an area situated on the western bank of the River Wyre, has actually been designated for wildlife conservation and events in the community. Everything needed was there. Welcome pack much appreciated. Weather not good being January but balcony must be great when it is. Upgraded outside furniture to that shown on website photos. Car parking space and lift were a godsend. Ideally situated at top of main shopping street with bus stops to Blackpool or Lancaster right outside. Wouldnât hesitate to stay here again.

The welcome pack of 1 large bottle of wine, plus three packs of cookie biscuits is a bonus. The apartment was nice, spacious, clean and welcoming. A few minor issues but did not spoil my holiday at all, was one light bulb in the lounge popped (expired) on the very 1st evening itself, the day of arrival, and the other lounge bulb ironically popped (expired) on the very 2nd (1st full day), the day after. Luckily i managed to buy 2 replacement light bulbs (both more powerful than the original ones that popped (expired). The Christmas external lights did not work, as the batteries there obviously expired, but again did not spoil my vacation, as the internal Christmas lights did work. The toilet in the bathroom upon the very 1st flush of my stay and subsequently for the rest of my stay until my departure did raise fairly high until dropping after the flush, suggesting that one of the previous holidaymakers here, put something down the toilet that should not have been placed there originally. The bathroom sink plug initially was loose as it did not want to plug in properly (a previous holidaymaker due to neglect here), but 1 week into my stay when i plugged that particular sink plug in the bathroom for me to have a shave, it got stuck, and remained lodged for the rest of my stay, which meant for the remainder of my holiday, i had to scoop out the water contents into the toilet every time i had a shave, and for other matters, i had to use the kitchen sink, for teeth brushing, mouth washing and face washing, but again it did not hinder my holiday. Apart from that, i enjoyed my holiday indeed. The apartment veranda was a welcome boost, popping out on it when i stayed on all day on Christmas Day 2024, Boxing Day 2024, New Year's Day 2025, and the Scottish New Year Bank Holiday day itself Thursday 2 January 2025 as it happens. The Smart Colour TV was a godsend, enabling me to temporarily install, and uninstall my own apps such as STV Player, You Tube and BBC iPlayer, etc, thus enjoying my stay even further during my time here. I only slept in 1 bed throughout my stay, and that is the single bed in the smaller 1 of the 2 bedrooms in the apartment itself, and all on my own with a smile on my face, being forever single myself is what holidays are all about, enjoying one's very own company with no brain damage whatsoever. Finally, never say never i say, because i could god willing have a 2nd holiday here at some further point in my entire life. Thank You very much indeed to the proprietor who made my very own holiday here in general a good holiday indeed.

More great walks on fells, riverside and canal lots of nice friendly shops and pubs . Lancaster 30 mins away on the bus and well worth a visit or two £1 after 7pm so we made good use of it for a few evenings out there. Looking forward to next visit already . Superb
