Wren Cottage is highly praised for its superb facilities, homely comfort, and ideal location in the Peak District. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, including a welcome basket and well-stocked amenities. The property is described as clean, well-maintained, and perfect for both families and pets, with many expressing a desire to return.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be sparkling clean, with only a single mention of kitchen utensils not being up to standard. The overwhelming positive feedback suggests a high level of cleanliness throughout the property.
The location is frequently described as perfect, with easy access to the moors, peaks, and local amenities. The proximity to a busy road was a minor concern for some, particularly for dog owners, but did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.
Guests consistently report that the beds are very comfortable, with high-quality linen and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Seating in the lounge was noted as potentially insufficient for larger groups, but this was a minor issue compared to the overall comfort of the cottage.
The cottage is well-equipped with modern facilities, a wood burner, and a generous welcome pack. Some guests suggested improvements such as more mugs and secure garden fencing for dogs. However, the facilities generally meet guests' needs very well.
Many reviews mention the thoughtful extras provided, such as face masks, board games, and a welcome basket, which contributed to a delightful stay. While these gifts are highly appreciated, it's important to note that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.
