Everything you need to make the holiday perfect. The bike store was especially useful for us and loved sitting by the log burner in the evenings. A nice pub in the village and some fabulous walking and bike trails from the house. Not for publishing but blinds at the two back small windows would give additional privacy and a large and small lasagne type dish would have been useful in the kitchen plus an orange squeezer.

However it is to be noted that the cottage has 3 bedrooms :- 2 x doubles plus 1 x single but the small lounge contains only 2 x 2-seater settees.

It was warm despite the weather turning to snow during our stay, the central heating maintaining a comfortable temperature but the real fires a real treat in the winter evenings. The bathroom was amazing with a slipper bath and a shower. The bath was great for a soak after a long walk or cycle. I did find it difficult to get out but this was probably to do with walking/ cycling too far! As an alternative there is a lovely shower with a rain shower head. The kitchen was well equipped with a gorgeous range cooker and all the equipment required for a comfortable stay. There was also a lovely Bakewell Tart waiting for us, which was much appreciated. Location wise the cottage was in a great position to get to Bakewell, Buxton, Monsal Trail, Kinder Scout, Chatsworth and Chesterfield among many other great places, by car but also with local walks from Monyash, the local pub is close for convenience. A short walk. Everyone we met in the village was very friendly.
