A really classy little holiday retreat in a picturesque Peak District village close to all Derbyshire's myriad of attractions.
Swallows Nest is an impressive one level cottage on the edge of the picturesque village of Birchover. Inside is tastefully decorated, with a glowing wood burning stove, comfortable furniture and original features such as wooden beams. Relax in the lounge, with the fire roaring whilst looking out the glass doors at the extensive garden and its beautiful surroundings. With its modern and well equipped kitchen, super bathroom and attractive bedroom, you’ll feel right at home.
The location of Swallows Nest is fantastic. Birchover is a peaceful Peak District village. The Limestone Way is a wonderful footpath to help you explore the Peak District hills.
Jump in the car and you’ll soon be at the National Tramway Museum, Matlock Bath’s cable cars, Caudwell’s Mill Craft Centre, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall or even pop to Bakewell to sample its famous and delicious Pudding.

Mr Green
This is a lovely cottage in a very good location for exploring the Peak District and its popular towns. The cottage is very well equiped with a garden that attracts many species of birds and other wildlife. This is certainly one of the best self-catering holidays we have had. A very helpful and friendly owner too.
Mrs Brock
Swallow's Nest cottage is perfectly formed, comfortable and the owner is a friendly, helpful host. This is our second holiday in beautiful Birchover, which says it all! An especial delight is the variety of wildlife- notably birds- you can watch while having breakfast walks from the door are excellent, and there's a reasonable bus service to Bakewell or Matlock if you want to be environmentally friendly.
Mr Craig
Fab stay, fab Annex, friendly welcoming owners, lots of great places to visit pretty near by, the Druid Inn did good food, thanks
