Lismore is a very attractive cottage with super decoration, quality furnishings, sunny conservatory and lovely gardens. Set on a quiet road on the edge of picturesque Great Longstone village it has lovely views of Longstone Moor rising above the roof tops on the far side of the village green. On summer afternoons you can watch the local cricket team in action from the comfort of the back garden!

Great Longstone is a superb village with its local shop and two pubs - the traditional Crispin Inn and the White Lion which is a gastro pub with a good reputation for its locally sourced food. Bakewell with its lively Monday market has to be seen and magnificent Chatsworth is another must for your travels. Our own personal favorite is the lovely and romantic Haddon Hall, a popular film location for historical dramas.

Even better, you don't need to use your car to go on wonderful walks right from the doorstep including the Monsal Trail whose most spectacular sight, Monsal Dale is just a mile from the cottage. You can even hire bikes to explore the valleys and tunnels along the trail. If you are feeling even more energetic climb to the top of Longstone Edge and admire the fantastic views.

Cottage facilities:

An attractive lounge with luxurious sofas, coal effect gas fire, flat screen T.V, DVD and Wi Fi. An adjoining dining area with birch table and chairs. A sunny conservatory with furniture. A well fitted kitchen with quality units, cooker, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. A utility room with large freezer, automatic washer and tumble dryer. A lovely double bedroom with super king bed . A similar twin bedroom. An attractive shower room with shower and W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Central heating, fuel and power are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is a large garden with furniture. Parking for two cars is available, one in the garage and the other on the drive, together with lots of spaces on the quiet road outside. Pets and smoking are not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be possible. Please ask for details and a copy of the cottage access statement.

Weekly bookings are normally Friday to Friday but short breaks are available throughout the year excluding Xmas and New Year.
