The Little House is an absolutely lovely cottage with super decoration, luxury furnishings, quality linen, fluffy towels and just every attention to detail. Set in the midst of Great Longstone, a picturesque Peak District village, it's just a short stroll along the lane to the village stores and the Crispin and White Lion pubs. The Packhorse pub in nearby Little Longstone and Monsal Head pub are only a mile away.

Set off each morning to explore the surrounding countryside and you will be totally humbled by the magnificent scenery. How about wandering along leafy Lathkill Dale with beautiful dragonflies skimming the river? Venture down magnificent Monsal Dale to discover its incredible waterfall. Climb to the top of Froggatt Edge and gaze at one of the most wonderful views in the world!

On more restful days visit nearby Bakewell with its 'puddings', the plague village of Eyam with its historic hall, Peak Rail with its trains puffing along the valley or Chatsworth House with its amazing gardens, farmyard and adventure playground. Or with pennies in your pocket try some of Derbyshire's speciality shops - David Neiper's lingerie, Chatsworth's award winning farm shop, Hartington's little cheese shop , Matlock's 'French Wine People' and Cauldwell Mill's craft centre.

Cottage facilities:

An attractive lounge with comfortable sofa and armchair, T.V., DVD, CD, WiFi and glowing coal effect electric fire. A well fitted dining kitchen with table and chairs, quality units, cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and automatic washer. A lovely double bedroom with en-suite W.C. and wash basin. A small twin bedroom of the same quality. A pleasant bathroom with bath/shower over and W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Central heating and power are included. There is a small rear patio with furniture. Parking is right outside the cottage on the village street. The cottage is not suitable for children under eight years of age. Pets and smoking are not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.

Weekly bookings are normally Friday to Friday but short breaks are available throughout the year excluding Xmas and New Year.
