The double bedroom boasts an en-suite cloakroom with a basin and WC for added convenience, while the twin room, which can be converted into a king-size on request, offers flexible sleeping arrangements to suit your needs. The charming Peak District village of Longnor is situated in beautiful countryside on the Staffordshire Moorlands/Derbyshire border, with the River Dove to the east and the River Manifold to the west, making an excellent touring centre. The village boasts a pub, a shop, a Post Office, a sweet shop, café tea room, fish and chip shop, and a beautiful church. The historic market square is cobbled and a scale of market charges is still posted on a board outside the market hall. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, the Spa town of Buxton with its famous Opera House, the attractive market town of Bakewell and Alton Towers theme park are all within easy reach.

The cottage is warm, clean and comfortable with a good range of facilities. Parking is tight but doable out the front of the property. The log burner is fab at night. The cottage is on a fairly busy road which was not an issue for us. All contact with the owners was excellent with prompt responses to any queries we had and they were keen to help. Plenty of things to do and see including walks, Chatsworth etc in easy reach. Lovely pub in the village serving great food alongside a fish and chip shop and cafes too. In short we would recommend Bakehouse Croft as a good base to explore the area.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful village. So much more than expected, and absolutely wonderful experience as a family, with our dogs. The cosiest place for a completely relaxing break with good amenities. The hosts were wonderful with us with any questions also. Sad to have left I'll be honest! 10/10

Nice to have a decent size fridge too,meant we could stock up and not worry about shopping on holiday. The only thing we had a slight problem with was that the parking space at the front of the cottage was a bit tight even for our smallish car.
