Guests say

Guests consistently praise 'The Dairy' for its warm and comfortable atmosphere, friendly owners, and excellent location for exploring the Peak District. The cottage is described as cosy, well-equipped, and dog-friendly, with many enjoying the peaceful surroundings and the convenience of local amenities and walks. The beds, in particular, receive numerous compliments for their comfort.

Most guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, though there was a single mention of needing to clean upon arrival. The overall impression is that the property is kept to a high standard of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, rural setting, and proximity to local attractions, walks, and amenities. It serves as an ideal base for exploring the Peak District, with stunning views and a quiet environment.

The comfort of the cottage is frequently highlighted, especially the beds which are often described as very comfortable. The cosy and homely feel of the cottage contributes to a comfortable stay, although there was a minor note about the beds being uncomfortable in one review.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the cottage being described as well-equipped and having useful features like a drying room and storage for bikes. However, there were a few comments about the need for additional cleaning equipment and the beds needing replacement.

While guests mention the friendliness of the owners and the welcome with home-made scones and jam, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Wendy took time to make sure we were comfortable & knew where everything was. She also showed the grandkids the horses & collected eggs in the barn. They also enjoyed watching the baling machine. Everything was great & would highly recommend. It was lovely & peaceful too. Thank you for a really good week.
