Guests say

Guests consistently praise the Garden Apartment for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location near Buxton's centre. The well-equipped kitchen, cosy lounge, and beautiful garden add to the charm, despite some concerns about the stairs and lack of a washing machine. The warm welcomes from hosts are frequently mentioned, contributing to the property's appeal for a delightful stay.

Reviewers consistently describe the apartment as extremely clean, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that contributes positively to their overall experience.

The apartment's proximity to Buxton's town centre and attractions like the Opera House and Pavilion Gardens is highly appreciated, although the uphill walk back is noted. Its central location is ideal for exploring the Peak District.

Guests find the apartment comfortable, with a well-furnished lounge and good shower facilities. The comfort is slightly marred for some by the basement stairs and one darker room.

The apartment is well-appointed with a well-equipped kitchen and decent-sized TV. However, the absence of a washing machine is noted as a drawback by some guests, affecting the overall facilities score.

While guests mention warm welcomes and a well-equipped apartment, there are no specific references to gifts or special thoughtful touches beyond the standard hospitality, thus a score cannot be provided.

Travel through the national park to take advantage of your nature-filled landscape, with the remains of Peveril Castle, Peak Cavern, Treak Cliff Cavern, and the summit of Mam Tor all awaiting to be explored, before returning home in time for supper. Make memories with Garden Apartment as your abode.

It was the constant 28 degrees centigrade of the bubbling blue waters of Buxton's eight thermal springs that originally attracted the Romans to the town. However it was during the 18th and 19th centuries, under the patronage of successive Dukes of Devonshire, that the Palladian splendour of the Buxton of today was designed and built - including the magnificent semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens and The Opera House. Today visitors continue to enjoy these magnificent buildings and gardens, as well as the Opera House's full programme and annual festivals of music and arts. There is good walking close by with rugged peaks to the north and gentle hills and dales to the south and a number of pretty towns and villages are dotted throughout including Bakewell, Ashford-in-the-Water, Castleton and Edale. The stunning properties of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within easy driving distance and must be seen while visiting this area. A great base for exploring the Peak District.

Private parking and nice enclosed garden ideal for our dog. This is a basement apartment but the lounge and bedroom are bright and large rooms. Good WiFi and well equipped. We had a minor plumbing issue but this was quickly sorted by owners David and Helen who live nearby. Would definitely recommend if you want to stay in Buxton.

An excellent time, and it is really convenient for both Buxton town centre but also the wider Peak District. We will return.

The apartment is well laid-out and comfortably furnished. It is located very close to the centre of Buxton with it's excellent restaurants. A few yards further you come to Spring Gardens shopping area with all you could want. Buxton is a little gem in the very pretty Derbyshire countryside with Bakewell and Matlock a short drive away. Garden Apartment is a lovely place as the centre to any break in Buxton. Peaceful, stylish and perfectly situated. David & Susan
