Churn Barn is just an utterly incredible place! Its amazingly spacious accommodation includes a magnificent lounge and staircase, large 'state of the art' kitchen, super bedrooms and classy bathrooms. Beamed ceilings, oak floors and quality furniture go without saying and of course there is the large secure patio and garden. This must be one of the most spacious holiday homes in the Peak District! 

Set on the hillside above Chinley Village, the barn backs onto Cracken Edge and has wonderful views out across the valley. A short half mile stroll will take you down into the village where there is the super Old Hall Inn and proper local shops. Walks and cycle ways radiate from the cottage and there are numerous places to visit in the surrounding hills. How about Peveril Castle, Whaley Bridge canal basin, the beautiful Goyt Valley, lovely Lyme Hall and New Mills' incredible Millennium Walkway?

With wider horizons all of Derbyshire's attractions are within easy reach but there are numerous contrasts in just this part of the national park. Castleton's Blue John caverns, Buxton's magnificent Opera House, the Dambuster Dams and the wild moorlands of Kinder Scout to name but a few. Spot the white hares on Kinder if you are really lucky!

Cottage facilities:

An incredibly spacious and classy lounge and dining area with beamed ceiling, beautiful oak flooring, comfortable settees, lovely glass dining table and chairs T.V., DVD, freeview and Wi-Fi. A separate sitting/games room with comfortable chairs, pool table, table tennis, table football, T.V.and Wii. A superb kitchen with quality fitted units, breakfast bar, halogen hob, electric oven, microwave, large fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A utility room with automatic washer and tumble-dryer. A magnificent spiral staircase to the first floor where there is a master double bedroom with en-suite shower room with large shower and W.C. A double bedroom with en-suite shower room with shower and W.C. Three twin bedrooms. A family bedroom with double and single bed.  A family bathroom with bath , separate shower and W.C. A downstairs shower room with shower and W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Under floor heating (ground floor), central heating (upper floor) and power are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is a large stone flagged patio with furniture together with a very large secure garden with fire pit / BBQ. A hot tub is available (adults only) by prior arrangement with the owners (one weeks notice required) at an additional cost. Secure parking for six cars is available. There is inside storage for bikes. Pets and smoking are not permitted in the cottage. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult. The owner does not accept hen/stag/single sex parties. There is a £300 (£500 for Xmas and New Year) security deposit payable by cheque to the owner on arrival which will be posted back once the property has been inspected. 

Weekly bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday but short breaks are available throughout the year excluding Xmas and New Year.
