The bustling, former mill town of Glossop sits in the north west of Derbyshire, surrounded by magnificent scenery in the Peak District. Nearby, Manor Park was once the grounds of Glossop Hall, which belonged to the Dukes of Norfolk. Today it provides a wonderful spot for a picnic in the summer, with bowling greens, a semi-natural woodland, a children’s play area and tennis courts. The town of Glossop is also ideally situated for exploring the nearby Peak District National Park, with many attractions for walkers, cyclists and tourists. These include the peaceful village of Hayfield, less than five miles away and popular with walkers due its close proximity to Kinder Scout. From the second you walk in through the front door you are amazed at how beautiful it is. Large open plan downstairs with comfortable sitting area and dining area. Upstairs the bedrooms are spacious and the walk in wardrobe was perfect with ample hanging space and hangers (nowhere ever has enough hangers). The beds were super comfortable and the little touches of shower gel etc in the en suite was an added bonus. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, I was amazed to find cocktail glasses as I was expecting to make my cocktails in some random glasses but literally everything is thought of. Glossop high street is only a short walk with plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend this property.
