A conveniently located Grade 2 listed barn conversion that sits in the delightful village of Hope in Derbyshire. With the excellent central location and homely living areas, this cottage is ideal for couples or friends to have a relaxing holiday together in this wonderful National Park. Step into this charming stone-built barn conversion and into its alluring living area which boasts plenty of comfortable seating and a TV for you to sit in front of and put your feet up with a refreshing drink. The kitchen is compact yet equipped with all of the appliances that you will need, accompanied with multi-coloured tiling and fresh furnishings. The ground floor also has a cosy double room and a pristine family bathroom. The staircase takes you up to the open double bedroom under the eaves of the barn, completing the interior of the property. To the front of the property sits a lovely lawn area for you to sit and enjoy your morning coffee before the day starts, alternatively you can go to the Old Hall Hotel pub and tea rooms next door. Hope itself is a well-stocked village, offering a choice of places to eat and drink along with some fantastic scenery. The village comes in the heart of the Peak District National Park, a place offering almost infinite opportunities for walking, cycling, wildlife spotting and some outstanding views. Old Hall Barn is a lovely 200 year old barn conversion in a fantastic location.
The delightful village of Hope in the heart of the Peak District National Park has many amenities, from pubs that serve food and a Post Office/general store to very interesting shops, galleries and a railway station. The village also has a pretty 14th century church.
Hope is conveniently situated for the many walks in the area or for the more adventurous, climbing and caving.
One of the main attractions in the area for walkers is the Winnats Pass, which is situated just a couple of miles away. The pass has some breathtaking scenery and is well worth a visit.
The beautiful villages of Edale, the bustling Castleton with its caves, shops, cafes and pubs and Hathersage, which has an outdoor swimming pool, are all nearby.
Further afield are the popular Alton Towers, Chatsworth House, Buxton and Matlock Bath.
Hope and the surrounding area is a fantastic place to visit at any time of the year.
