Calver 1.8 miles. Tucked away in the idyllic village of Grindleford near Calver in Derbyshire, is this beautiful two-bedroom cottage, The Smithy. Enjoying a prime location within the Peak District National Park, with easy access to the surrounding destinations of Eyam and Bakewell, The Smithy is a superb dwelling for couples or a family of four. Leave your vehicle on the driveway with space for one car, before making your way into your new home from home. Enter into a lovely kitchen, featuring a handy dishwasher and washer/dryer, where you can whip up delicious meals ready to enjoy at the dining table for four over a bottle of wine. If the weather is nice, why not make dinner an alfresco affair on the patio? The garden also enjoys lockable bike storage. After dinner, relax in the light and airy lounge as your favourite show plays out on the Smart TV. On the ground-floor you will find a beautifully decorated double with an en-suite shower room, perfect for preparing for the day in style. Climb the stairs up to the first floor, where you will find a well-appointed king-size, also with its own en-suite shower room, ideal for freshening up after a day of hiking through the peaks. Explore your local surroundings, where you will find the welcoming Sir William pub, serving a tasty menu and local ales; it is the perfect place to refuel, followed by a leisurely stroll along the River Derwent. The popular Maynard restaurant is within easy reach and offers excellent dining and plays host to functions. The village is also home to its own railway station where you can venture further afield to the bustling cities of Sheffield and Manchester for a memorable day trip and ample shopping opportunities. Additionally, the village of Calver contains a cafe, a petrol station, small supermarkets offering local products as well as a craft shop and an art gallery, and serves as a great starting point for hiking, mountain biking, and other outdoor activities. Only a mile and a half away from us is the village of Baslow, which has shops, bars, and restaurants, and Bakewell, the Peak District capital and home to the famed Bakewell pudding, has even more services. The old village of Eyam, with its pubs, cafes, and artisan centre, is just a short drive away, making a day out in the parish of Curbar accessible to everyone.
