Located next to the friendly owners’ home, far reaching views over the surrounding countryside can be enjoyed from these beautiful, warm and comfortable properties, whilst deciding on which amazing sights to explore first. The centre of Longnor is set around a historic cobbled market square where you’ll find a couple of good food serving pubs, which also welcome your four legged friends, a café, general stores, post office and fish and chip shop.
Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, the area is renowned for excellent picturesque walks which radiate from the village, and dependent on your ability, range from short ambles to long haul treks. The traffic free Manifold Valley Way is also easily accessible, and the area around Dovedale should definitely not be missed. Set mid-way between Buxton and Leek. both 15 minutes, ample amenities are available at either sizeable town, and a whole host of other Peak District towns, villages and attractions are within easy reach. To name but a few, the ever popular market town of Bakewell is around 20 minutes, Chatsworth House, Eyam, Ashbourne and Alton Towers all around 30 minutes. All in all Longnor, The Stable and The Carthouse make the most wonderful place for a break.
