Disley 1.5miles. This lovely detached holiday home is set in the middle of beautiful countryside, overlooking Lyme Park and surrounded by fields and woodland. It is beside the owners 17th century cottage on the outskirts of Disley, a thriving village on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It is a wonderful place for couples to relax, escape the stresses of day-to-day life, and explore this beautiful area of Derbyshire. At the bottom of a long driveway, lined with lawns and plant borders, the front door opens into a spacious hallway with plenty of space to store shoes and walking boots. The bedroom is bright and comfortable, with a king-size bed and lots of storage in a wardrobe and chest of drawers, so you can make yourselves right at home. Close to the bedroom is a modern bathroom with a heated towel rail, P-shaped bath and shower. The open plan living area is a great place to relax and unwind after a long walk, and prepare delicious meals to enjoy with a bottle of wine at the dining table. When the sun is shining, you can throw open the patio doors and step outside to eat in the sunshine. Because of its proximity to the Peak District National Park, The Lodge is an excellent choice for walkers and cyclists. Visit Etherow Country Park Nature Reserve, Chapel-en-le-Frith, and the popular market towns of Buxton and Bakewell. Within an hour, you can even reach the delights of Chatsworth House.
