The property's location is highly regarded for its tranquillity and scenic surroundings. Guests enjoy the proximity to local shops and attractions, though some noted it can be a bit tricky to find initially.

The Courtyard is a delightful single-storey annex adjoining the main farmhouse on Bourton Westwood Farm, surrounded by green fields, home to grazing livestock and offering stunning views over towards The Wrekin. Tucked away in its own private courtyard, this one bedroom annex nestles the fringes of Much Wenlock, in well-known Shropshire. Situated on a working farm you can admire the lovely farm buildings combining traditional and modern aspects as well as the acres of land encompassing you. This is the ideal spot for a couple to enjoy a romantic break together, away from the busyness of everyday life. You will be welcomed into this humble abode via a Roman-style courtyard garden home to a variety of plants and shrubbery thriving on a fresh spring day. Step inside to the main room, which is furnished to a lovely standard and has a double bed, seating area and a dining table where tasty meals can be enjoyed, cooked up in the separate kitchen. Each morning, you can wake up to a refreshing shower before preparing a delicious breakfast and morning coffee, which you can take out onto the garden table should you wish. Your evenings can be spent winding down with a bottle of champagne before you soak in the bubbly hot tub, taking the edge off a long day exploring the hills and country trails. The beautiful, medieval town of Much Wenlock is just moments away by car, bike or on foot, where you’ll find traditional shops and a plethora of history. The architecture is varied throughout and you will be impressed by its fabulous blend of Georgian, Victorian and Medieval buildings. Visit the ruins of Wenlock Priory, go to Ironbridge Gorge Museums and even discover the National Trust’s Benthall hall boasting a pretty garden and oak-panelled interior. Climb the summit of one of Shropshire’s iconic hills and marvel at the mesmerising views atop The Wrekin. It provides the perfect walk one summer’s evening when the sun is setting and the peace and quiet consume your thoughts as you gaze across green fields. This ancient hilltop fortress is part of one of the best walks in Shropshire; however, you can try many others while you are visiting the area. You might fancy a visit over to Church Stretton and walk along the Long Mynd before you discover its National Trust shop for a cup of tea or a spot of tasty food at one of the pubs. Further afield you have Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Kidderminster for a varied day out, but however you choose to spend your time a stay at The Courtyard is just what you need.
Much Wenlock is a delightful market town resting within the idyllic Shropshire countryside, home to winding streets, limestone cottages, independent shops, country pubs and restaurants. The historic town is also well-known for being the birthplace of the modern Olympic Games, home to a 12th century priory, 16th century Guildhall, Old Gaol and Normal Church. Above the town rests the 15 mile long Wenlock Edge, boasting glorious views and excellent walking and cycling opportunities.
