Enjoy shopping along The Lanes, saunter along the Palace pier, visit the Royal Pavilion and the Museum and Art Gallery.

There are various NT homes and gardens to discover including Nymans, Sheffield Park and Wakehurst Place, also Leonardslee gardens, as well as vineyards (Rathfinny), ferry trips to Dieppe from nearby Newhaven and the historic Arundel Castle and nearby Wildfowl & Wetlands Centre. The glorious South Downs National park has excellent walks and cycle routes, or visit Devils Dyke, Cissbury Ring and Borde Hill. Opera at Glyndebourne is a short drive, as are races at Brighton and Plumpton and events at Hickstead and the South of England Showground.
