Guests consistently praise the Pump House for its cleanliness, comfort, and beautiful location. The property's extensive grounds are a highlight, offering serene walks and wildlife, with the added luxury of a hot tub. The hosts are commended for their warmth and thoughtfulness, contributing to a relaxing and enjoyable stay. While some minor suggestions for improvements are noted, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests planning to return.
Reviewers frequently mention the exceptional cleanliness of the Pump House, noting it as extremely impressive. The consistent emphasis on this aspect suggests a very high standard maintained by the hosts.
The location is celebrated for its tranquillity and proximity to scenic walks and local amenities. The property's setting in the Sussex countryside, with easy access to the South Downs and coastal towns, is highly valued by guests.
Comfort is a recurring theme, with guests finding the furniture comfortable and the cottage cosy. The bedroom and living spaces receive positive remarks, although a few guests suggest improvements to the mattress and sofas.
Facilities such as the hot tub and well-equipped kitchen are appreciated, but some guests note intermittent Wi-Fi and suggest additional garden furniture. The presence of a hot tub is a significant plus, yet the feedback on Wi-Fi and other amenities indicates room for enhancement.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is highlighted through mentions of welcome gifts and provisions for both guests and their pets. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Pump House is the perfect holiday cottage at anytime of year.
Hellingly is a quiet village in the heart of Sussex ideally situated for exploring the Sussex countryside and the coast. The most important part of the village is its church which was started in 1190 and has been built on the only remaining undamaged ciric in Sussex. A ciric is a circular Celtic burial ground, built above ground to ensure the graves are kept dry. This location is particularly popular with walkers and cyclists due to the famous Cuckoo Trail.

Would of given it 5 stars if the garden was accessible from the house (not good early hours of the morning when the dogs needed to go out ) or to get to the hot tub which was preset at 37 degrees which was not quite hot enough for us In the October temperatures
Jonathan
Wouldn't hesitate to book again and probably will. Thank you for a great stay.
