Guests appreciate the peaceful environment, cosy wood burner, and the helpfulness of the housekeeper. While some minor maintenance issues and personal decor preferences were noted, the overall sentiment is positive with many guests expressing a desire to return.

There is no specific mention of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide an accurate score for this category.

The location is consistently praised for its beauty, proximity to nature reserves, local pubs, and walking trails. The sea wall walk and easy parking are also appreciated, contributing to the high score.

The lodge is described as cosy and perfect for couples, with a very comfortable bed and a warm atmosphere. However, some guests mentioned the sofa being uncomfortable and the lodge potentially being too hot in summer, slightly lowering the score.

While the wet room and kitchen are liked, there are several mentions of issues with the wood burner and a lack of kitchen lighting. The absence of a fire alarm or CO monitor is a concern. These maintenance issues affect the score.

There are no mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so it is not possible to score this category. However, the provision of sugar, coffee, and tea bags is noted.

Lovely walks to local pubs for dinner in evenings. The gentleman who is housekeeper at the owner’s house on site is very warm and helpful. A lovely peaceful hideaway for a couple.

Very comfortable bed and great location. Amazing Shower! The sofa was the only very slight fly in the ointment - designed for style over function sadly and they could do with a foot stool too. But we had a lovely stay and would definitely return.
