Nestled behind the owners' lovely oast house overlooking a beautiful planted garden with stunning views over the meadows. The Snug has been designed and furnished with great flair and taste making it somewhere you will love to spend a relaxing and comfortable break. It boasts a spacious open plan living area incorporating a well designed dining area with French doors opening onto a private patio and garden. Upstairs the king size bed is dressed with crisp linens and there are lovely views over the garden. The nearby "chocolate  box" village of Smarden offers 2 centuries old pubs, a butchers, village stores and post office plus an art gallery. The cottage displays many pieces of original artwork by a well known local artist, Kaija Bulbrook. The cottage is only a few minutes away from the Chart Hills Golf Club and a short drive will take you to the picturesque village of Sissinghurst with its beautiful castle and gardens.  Visit and shop at the nearby historic towns of Cranbrook and Tenterden and it is a beautiful 30 minute drive to Tunbridge Wells and Bedgebury Pinetum and forest. There is a mainline station at Headcorn which makes day trips to London a breeze. Minimum short break accepted is 5 nights, Friday start.

Notes: £150 security deposit payable two weeks before the holiday. The owners have a very, very friendly, large lady dog who will be there at the gate to greet you but she isn't allowed in the cottage!  Adults only.
