Wander through the village and you’ll discover two popular inns just 100m away, both offering fantastic menus, within a mile radius you’ll find three farm shops packed with fresh local produce and there are a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants in medieval town of Sandwich and at nearby Deal. This is a popular centre for walking and cycling, and the perfect base to explore South East England’s rich cultural heritage, explore Kent’s glorious coastline via the 32-mile Viking Coastal Trail, the famously quiet beach of Sandwich Bay is just a mile stroll, or you can soak up the views and enjoy refreshments en route to the wonderful sandy beaches in Thanet at Botany Bay and Joss Bay, take the Ancient Highway south into Deal, one of the prettiest seaside towns in Kent, with a pebble beach that offers breathtaking views of the Channel. Sandwich is an historic town resting in the Dover District of Kent, positioned along the River Stour. The town grew in wealth thanks to shipbuilding for the monarch before the establishments of a regular navy, being one of the five original Cinque Ports. The town is also the home of The Royal St George's Golf Club which hosts The Open every four years, perfect for any keen golfers or fans of the sport.
