Built in the 16th century and steeped in history The Refinery Apartment is a wonderful Grade II listed apartment situated above the owner’s speciality coffee bar and set in the heart of the historic market town of Faversham. The Refinery Apartment has a long history - for many years it was owned by Charles Curling and was known as ‘Curling’s the hairdressers’. Curling’s also sold fancy goods and was a wholesale tobacconist.
The perfect location of The Refinery Apartment makes it the ideal choice for a couple, being in the centre of it all with the towns streets lined with pubs restaurants and shops.
Inside the property has been lovingly restored with its traditional character shining through, with oak beams throughout and an original brick interior. Once the day is done cosy up on the sofa in front of the electric wood burner and watch some Netflix on the Smart TV (guests’ own account login required). The second floor boasts a lovely bedroom with an open plan en-suite bathroom complete with roll-top bath, and complimentary slippers provided for your comfort.
Within walking distance of the train station this is the ideal getaway as a car is simply not needed and you are easily connected with day trips to London and other parts of Kent. Faversham is famously known for its hops and within a short stroll you can participate in a tour around Faversham Brewery built in 1698 and home of Shepherd Neame. Beach 8 miles. Shop and restaurant 10 yards pub 50 yards.
