Guests say

The holiday cottage in Margate offers a prime location near the seafront, with many guests appreciating its proximity to the beach and local amenities. The property has been noted for its spaciousness and potential for a comfortable stay. However, there are recurring mentions of the need for deeper cleaning, updates to furniture, and better maintenance to enhance the overall guest experience.

Guests have reported issues with cleanliness, including mouldy food, dog waste in the garden, and dirty linen. The presence of out-of-date food and unclean appliances has also been noted, suggesting a need for more thorough cleaning practices.

The property's location is highly praised, being close to the seafront and within easy reach of local shops and attractions. Its proximity to coastal walks and beaches is a highlight for many visitors.

While some guests found the beds comfortable, there are several complaints about uncomfortable sofas and a lack of decent curtains or blinds affecting sleep quality. The property's comfort is compromised by these factors, although the potential for a comfortable stay is acknowledged.

Facilities have been a point of contention, with reports of broken appliances, lack of instructions, and issues with Wi-Fi connectivity. The need for better maintenance of facilities is evident from guest feedback.

There is insufficient information regarding the presence of gifts or extra touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the property owner. As such, this category cannot be accurately scored.

This is the second time we have stayed here and we have always found it to be clean, tidy and has lots of little extras that make you feel at home straight away. A++++++

What could and should have been a very good property spoiled by neglects and lack of maintenance and the worst bed I have ever suffered such that we had to return home early in considerable pain

  • Karen

There was out of date food in the cupboards, old broken blinds in one of the bedrooms and generally it felt unloved. The size and location is fantastic and neighbours and locals were lovely. A small investment in modernising is necessary not worth the money at present sadly.
