Ditsys Den in Tonbridge, Kent, is generally praised for its beautiful location, friendly hosts, and dog-friendly environment. Guests appreciate the comfortable bed, well-equipped cottage, and thoughtful touches like fresh eggs. While some guests mention issues with maintenance and comfort, the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
Most guests found Ditsys Den to be clean and comfortable. However, a few mentioned specific cleanliness issues such as a dirty roasting tin and old coffee pods. These seem to be isolated incidents rather than a general trend.
The location is frequently described as beautiful and a good starting point for visiting local attractions. The secluded garden and proximity to nature were highlights, although some guests found the access path narrow and difficult at night.
The comfort of the cottage received mixed reviews. While many guests found the bed comfortable and the cottage cosy, others had issues with the bed and seating. The memory foam mattress and the size of the bed were not to everyone's liking.
The cottage is well-equipped according to several guests, but some noted the absence of certain items and maintenance issues like the toilet cistern needing attention. The garden's upkeep was also a point of contention for some.
Guests were pleased with the thoughtful extras provided by the hosts, such as fresh eggs. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be a consistent offering for all stays.
