About this property

Nestled in the historic town of Burford, Oxfordshire, is this picturesque cottage. Coach House Burford has been lovingly restored from a former coach house to the local pub and now offers a wonderfully modern accommodation in the heart of the Cotswolds. Though a modern interior, the property still features exposed beams and lovely original stone walls.

Boasting three bedrooms: one king-size, one double and one twin.

Though it might be tempting to spend your whole break at this cottage soaking it all in, there’s a huge choice of things to do to suit all ages and tastes. Venture towards the Literary Tour of Oxford, a magical guided tour, where famous writers like J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S Lewis. Discover where they studied, relaxed and found inspiration for their incredible body of works. This would be a wonderful romantic attraction to explore during your time here. Coach House Burford is the ideal base for a romantic holiday.

Burford is possibly one of, if not THE most famous of the Cotswolds' locations. With its medieval bridge, old stone houses and attractive Tudor and Georgian frontages, Burford is justifiably one of the most picturesque towns in England. The 16th century Tolsey building, once the meeting place for medieval merchants, now houses The Tolsey Museum, a delightful local museum illustrating the town's social and industrial past. The church is stunning, a real gem architecturally with many interesting memorials charting some of Burford's great families.
