About this property

St Kew Highway 1.1 miles. Nestled in the charming hamlet of Trequite in the Cornish countryside near St Kew Highway is Quiet Trees. This charming, historic cottage dates back to the 17th century and pays homage to its history with characterful features woven throughout including exposed beams, sloped ceilings, slate flooring and exposed stone fireplaces and benefits from a wonderful, enclosed rear garden perfect for small families or couples looking to explore Cornwall with their beloved canine companion. Cross the threshold and head straight to the fully-equipped kitchen where you can make use of the handy Rangemaster to prepare a delicious meal for your partner or family, dine together inside or step out into the garden to savour an alfresco affair upon the garden furniture. When stars fill the sky, head inside to snuggle up on the plush sofa with your loved one in front of the Smart TV and crackling warmth of the open fire. Later, climb the stairs to wash off the day in the bathroom before sloping off to sleep in either the double or single bedroom. Enjoy the tranquillity that the hamlet provides before taking a short drive into St Kew Highway where you can stock up on essentials at the local store or enjoy date night at the famous St Kew Inn which serves delicious food in a charming stone-built setting. Discover the great outdoors by venturing to the coast at Port Isaac, famed for being the filming location for Doc Martin; spend sunny days upon the shores of Port Gaverne Beach where you can soak up the sun, paddle in the sea or try something more thrilling like paddle boarding, coasteering, kayaking or caving! For a taste of history follow the coast to the picturesque town of Tintagel to lose yourself in the town’s links to King Arthur; explore the ruins of Tintagel Castle, his supposed birthplace, King Arthur’s Great Halls and Merlin’s Cave all offering guests with spectacular views across the azure. Unlock the wonders of Cornwall at Quiet Trees.

St. Kew Highway is a small settlement at the southern end of Allen Valley. The village has shops, a pub, and a nine-hole golf course with 18 sets of tees on the outskirts. There are a number of smaller villages and hamlets in the area, and many of them also have a pub, including the village of St. Kew, which is less than two miles away and has a church and a pub. Wadebridge, a nearby market town, is home to a wide variety of stores, eateries, and the region's lone movie theatre. Amazing hiking, horseback riding, and cycling trails can be found in this area of Cornwall. The towns of Padstow and Newquay, as well as the coast with its sandy beaches, rocky coves, and towering cliffs, are not far away. St. Kew Highway makes a great home base for exploring the coast and countryside of north Cornwall.

Inside: all amenities you could think of. After a 6hr drive not needing to go to the shop for bare necessities was a godsend. A cosy living room to relax on the evenings was a welcome addition. I did come home with a sore head (not beer induced) but that will teach me for not ducking under doorframes !

Absolutely amazing.. Everything you need is there so dog friendly and a secure garden. Easy access to all locations. A very quiet place... I have no complaints.. We found the mattress uncomfortable but that's down to personal preference. This is a must place to visit and stay We will be back
