Once you've been to Bude, a beautiful beach village, you'll want to return frequently. Bude offers fantastic beaches for lounging and making sandcastles, as well as rockpools to explore at low tide and cafes from which to take it all in. Year-round surfing is possible thanks to the rolling waves, and you can explore and take in the breath-taking landscape by walking along the rebuilt canal or the North Cornish coastal route. A fantastic indoor pool, bowling alley, indoor play area, and heritage centre at Bude Castle are all located in Bude. Also, it includes a great information centre and a good assortment of neighbourhood stores, supermarkets, cafes, bars, and restaurants. The ruins of a huge iron age hill fort at Warbstow Bury are only a short drive away and offer panoramic views. Take the coast road north to see the lone lighthouse perched above the water at Hartland Point or enjoy a donkey ride or a stroll down the picturesque Clovelly's steep, cobblestone village street (no cars permitted) to the port and tavern far below.

The road is awful , narrow and with 4 horrendous pointed sleeping policemen plus potholes amd more normal sleeping policemen. Because of this we were reluctant to use it more than once a day so could not go back at teatime to change for the evening. The apartment was fine apart from the bathroom door handle needing adjustment and the outer door barrel being loose and not always registering the key. The rail on the stairs was very rusty There was no owner's representative on site to report these things so we left a note on the table.
