A short drive away is the award-winning pannier market town of Tavistock, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and Plymouth is only 30 minutes away. Or why not visit the Tamar Trails Centre where there are 25km of trails to explore on foot, bike or horse and other outdoor activities such as canoeing on the river, all in the heart of the beautiful Tamar Valley? Morwellham Quay is also close by and is a historic port and part of the World Heritage Site, where you can travel by train along the banks of the River Tamar, before venturing deep underground into a Copper Mine.
