Atlas House, a history rich property originally built as a sea-packet captain's house displays characteristics present from 1830 with 20 different layers of wallpaper framed throughout the property. This beautiful three-bedroom abode with stunning views, is tucked away in Falmouth, Cornwall. Perfect for couples or groups of friends looking for a memorable escape, this adult-only property is conveniently-located close to various amenities and a beach, making it the perfect spot to explore the wonders of Cornwall. Enjoy the laid-back atmosphere and take in the stunning views from this tranquil setting before stepping into your three-storey abode, where you can relax and unwind in a peaceful, homely atmosphere. The open-plan living space with its woodburning stove is sure to be the hub of the home, with a well-equipped kitchen to create delicious meals and a dining area for relaxed dinner dates. Enjoy nights in with a movie on the first floor sitting room’s Smart TV, or follow the stairs outside to the private, raised-level terrace with furniture, an ideal spot to savour a refreshing beverage while taking in the stunning views of Falmouth. When sleep calls, the two second-floor double bedrooms offer the perfect spot to rest after a day of exploring, both boasting views of the stunning surroundings. A single bedroom completes the accommodation, along with a shower room and second-floor bathroom where you can wind down or prepare for the day in style. If you can tear yourself away, spend your days exploring the charming town of Falmouth; the award-winning beach Gyllyngvase is the perfect spot to soak up the sun, or simply take a stroll around the harbour for a spot of lunch. The nearby village of Penryn is brimming with history - don't miss the 14th century Mabe Church, steeped in folklore and the beautiful Treluswell Cross, an ancient holy well. Further afield, the Georgian city of Truro is also not too far away, explore its cobbled streets and impressive architecture, along with its array of shops, pubs, and eateries. Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbour-side pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry viii, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes). For nature lovers there is the Swanpool Nature Reserve, a lagoon and site of special scientific interest teeming with a variety of wildlife. There is also a golf course. Falmouth offers such a rich variety of landscape and attractions for people of all ages, it is sure to tempt you back time and again.
