This contemporary barn conversion is situated on the outskirts of the seaside resort of Falmouth within a short stroll from Swanpool Beach. It sits next to the owners farmhouse in a rural setting, providing spacious and modern accommodation for couples seeking a romantic retreat. Three steps lead up from the entrance to the sitting room with a cosy wood burner, vaulted beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls, natural slate flagstone and crimson red settees. A corridor leads off from the sitting room past a well equipped kitchen and along to a designer bathroom with a free standing bath and a generous shower cubicle, perfect for modern living. A spacious bedroom follows complete with a lavish four poster bed dressed in crisp cotton, seasoned oak floorboards and a door leading onto a small enclosed patio with rural views. A challenging golf course is conveniently close by and a leisurely stroll will find you on the golden sandy beaches of Swanpool or Maenporth where you can follow the coast path to the exotic sub tropical gardens of Glendurgan and Trebah. You will find a good pub Nearby in the village of Budock and Falmouth where there is much to see and do, including The National Maritime Museum, galleries, boutique shops and restaurants, is a short drive away. A very special retreat for exploring south Cornish coastline and the discerning guest setting a high priority for quality, comfort and space.
Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbourside pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry viii, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes).
