Settled in West Cornwall, two miles east of Hayle, sits the small village of Gwinear. The village sits on a hill with expansive views from the northern end of the village down to the Angarrack valley. Within the village is a dog-friendly pub, The Royal Standard, serving a hearty menu and selection of ales, plus there is a spacious beer garden. There is also a 3/4 acre market garden, Herland Roots, selling local, seasonal produce via weekly collection or a delivery service. Just under five miles away lies Gwithian Towans Beach, a stunning stretch of Cornish sand that forms part of three miles of beach called The Towans (Cornish for 'dune').
