Harvey's House, a lovely 1800’s barn conversion is set within a wooded valley, hidden in the beautiful and historical Cornish hamlet of Lowertown on the outskirts of Helston. The cottage features a luxurious hot tub set within a private 1 acre garden for the exclusive enjoyment of guests, it is within a short drive of every Cornish coastline. This 3-bedroom bolthole offers spacious and charismatic accommodation for family and friends, an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful beaches, SW coast path, fishing villages, and hot spot resorts. On arrival, drive down the lane and park aside your homestay, with an EV charger, adjacent to the owner's own home. The interior has a fabulous country cottage feel, with original character features: vaulted ceilings, wooden beams, a log burning fire and exposed granite. The open-concept living space creates a very inviting and cosy social area for gatherings. Rustle up a bite to eat in the contemporary well-equipped kitchen, relax on the sofa and enjoy the warmth from the log burning fire. In front of the media wall complete with flat screen smart tv and picture window, unwind with dreams of the day’s adventures and the endless possibilities of tomorrow. There are three bedrooms: one with a modern four poster and another with a super-king or twin beds, finished with deep green-hued décor. The third bedroom has a mezzanine-style double bed accessed from a small, narrow spiral staircase, a quirky option creating a welcoming nook from which to stargaze through the Velux. Start the day off with the choice of a bubbly soak in the traditional tub or an invigorating shower or wash away sandy toes after a day at the beach. There is also a separate cloakroom for your convenience. The 1 acre garden is enchanting, unwind in the private hot tub that catches the sun all day, or enjoy a moment of tranquillity in the bubbles under the stars, the only sounds are nature and the River Cober trickling peacefully by. The lawn has various seating spots for morning coffees and alfresco dining. The garden paths weave around mature greenery and wooded areas, leading explorers to a tree swing seat, loved by children and adults alike! The cottage is nestled beneath a retired historical viaduct in the Cober Valley, a popular hamlet for visitors as it is home to the famous Cober stepping stones, this walk will lead you to a local supermarket and the Helston boating lake, complete with café, peddle boats and large children’s play area, all situated a short walk from Helston town centre. Take a ride on the local Helston Steam railway, only 2.2 miles away from your holiday home. The cottage provides easy access to all the Cornish coasts, there is an attraction for all the family! The beach at Praa Sands offers a mile of golden sand, perfect for water sports and swimming, with a beach café for refreshment, parking, local pub, a coastal path for rambling, and local shops. The traditional harbour village of Porthleven is only 4.1 miles away and boasts fabulous restaurants serving the catch of the day and worldwide cuisine, dotted around the pretty quay. From here ramble the coast path, the route to Rinsey Head is circular or walk to Church Cove.

Venture out to Penzance, with Jubilee Sea Water Pool, galleries to browse, a sculpture garden, pubs and promenade. St Michael’s Mount is incredibly picturesque; venture across the cobbled causeway at low tide to this castle-topped semi-isle. If you enjoy a little boat trip, the ferry will get you there too. Marazion, with splendid eateries and a long sandy beach, makes for a great day out. Beautiful Helford River, with secret creeks and little beaches, is a must: hire a kayak, or enjoy a walk with a picnic. Falmouth, with its harbour, Pendennis Castle, Maritime Museum, four beaches, and a ferry to St Mawes will keep you entertained for hours. Take a leisure trip or fishing excursion around the bay! National Trust’s Lizard Point is the most southerly tip, with a rugged coastal landscape ideal for rambles and seal and dolphin spotting. Equally beautiful, St Ives has galleries, independent boutiques, an abundance of eateries, and beaches for swim and surf schools.

Helston lies at the western gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, a large area of downland fringed by a beautiful and spectacular coastline. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for it's Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum. Nestled in a tranquil setting is the National Seal Sanctuary on the Helford River, where there is plenty of entertainment watching seals play and feed. If it is thrill rides that excites you, then Flambards theme park will keep you amused all day and also has excellent living history experiences. Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Helston is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family. By car reach numerous outstanding beaches, including Porthleven Beach, Praa Sands Beach, and Gunwalloe Church Cove Beach, with Loe Bar offering a dog-friendly landscape, along with the chance to join the stunning Cornish coastal path.
