It is private and in general the grounds are in a good state. The inside was spotless and again in a fairly good condition. There are a few things that need attention, some of the blinds are damaged and the ensuit shower door is at risk of falling off. Overall the lodge is great and what we expected. We stayed in one a little further down a few years ago, so knew the site and quality. The outside furniture is nice, although we didn't use it. The reception staff were very efficient. The dishwasher wasn't working and the service provided by reception and maintenance was second to none, in ensuring the issue was resolved. I was very impressed with reception making a second call to us later that day, to check everything was ok. Small touches in the lodge, such as fruit bowl was nice. The milk and welcome box was a nice gesture as well. I would recommend this lodge and the site. The lodge has everything you require and more. The site is very quiet and located in easy reach of many of the South coast attractions. Overall fantastic.

Will be coming back here. Everything was great no complaints Even though your on a site it doesn’t seem it at all, very quiet & we loved how you come and go without checking in or out Whole place was lovely & clean, well looked after & maintained We can’t wait to come back here!

We were lucky to be able to book in early, walked in as the cleaners were finishing, the place actually smelled like it had been cleaned. Hot tub was perfect for our needs. Good sized oven and fridge/freezer, plenty of cupboard space and utensils. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Local pub had a reasonable menu, fairly priced and they were very friendly too. This is a local’s pub but they were very welcoming. Lots of places to visit but the only thing within walking distance is the pub/local Spar shop. Everything else is around 20-60 mins drive. If you like little fishing villages this would be good for you due to location. Newquay was just under an hour away, as well as Tintagel/Port Isaac. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful holiday. The only this is, you can’t see the view from the lodge, as it looks into the garden. You have to walk between a couple of hedges and then you can see the view. Fine for a sunrise!
