Bryher Cottage is a delightful barn conversion ideally located in the historic and picturesque village of St. Mawgan and within easy reach of Mawgan Porth, Watergate Bay and Padstow. It has been thoughtfully equipped to provide a comfortable home from home.
Downstairs you’ll find a bright and spacious open plan kitchen-dining-living area. With a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area for six and a log burner for chilly evenings, it’s the ideal space for spending time with family and friends.
Upstairs, there are three comfortable bedrooms with high quality linen and blackout curtains - perfect for getting a good night’s sleep after a busy day exploring or watersports and building sandcastles on the stunning local beaches.
Patio doors lead from the living area into the enclosed garden where you can enjoy the country air over a glass of wine on the sun deck, complete with comfy sofa. This is the perfect place to enjoy a barbecue in the evening sun.
For younger guests, a cot, highchair, changing mat, potty, and kids crockery and cutlery are provided. There is also a selection of books, films and games.
St. Mawgan itself is extremely pretty with a river, antique shop, village store and tea rooms. Enjoy a drink in the beer garden at the popular village pub; or let off steam in the playing fields and children’s playground. There’s even a Japanese Garden, an historic church and a working monastery to explore.
You’ll be spoilt for choice for a day out. The fantastic beaches of Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay are a 5-10 minute drive. Both offer huge sandy expanses, pounding waves, rock pools and clifftop walks - perfect for long days at the beach.
The lovely fishing port of Padstow, home to Rick Stein’s sea food restaurants, is 7 miles away, past some of the best beaches, coastal walks and golf clubs in the area.
The Eden Project, St Ives, St Mawes and even Lands End and the west tip of Cornwall are within easy reach - making this the perfect location for your holiday in Cornwall.
