Demelza 3 is an upper apartment in a private area of Helford Passage. It has been recently refurbished to a high and stylish standard and offers a great location to watch the activities on the river. The apartment has two bedrooms, sleeping four in total, and a brand new kitchen. The family bathroom has both a bath and walk-in shower cubicle.The large lounge, with dining area, has a full-width wall of glass providing beautiful, uninterrupted views of the Helford River. Large sliding doors open onto the south-facing private terrace, which has plenty of space to relax.

Both the beach and the outdoor swimming pool are accessed through separate gates in the garden. Demelza 3 is on the same level as the car park, and has just two internal steps between the bedrooms and the rest of the accommodation, so may be suitable for those with reduced mobility.

Helford Passage nestles on the banks of the beautiful river Helford, with a sandy beach and direct access to the South West Coastal Path.  There’s plenty to do on site including the hire of kayaks or paddle boards, or if you prefer to be in the water, try the  heated outdoor swimming pool (open from May 1st until the end of September).  The Ferryboat Inn specialises in seafood dishes and holds regular music and quiz nights. The local ferry can take you across to pretty Helford village where you can meander along the shore to explore Daphne Du Maurier’s Frenchman’s Creek.  Alternatively relax and enjoy good food at the welcoming Shipwrights Arms in Helford or venture further afield to the Historic Falmouth, rugged Land’s End or the gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan. All the traditional attractions of a Cornish Holiday such as nearby fishing trips, golf, cycling, horse-riding, seaside fish and chips, coastal walks, art galleries and stunning beaches make this a perfect base for couples or families all year round.

Accommodation:

Step through the front door and to the left, you'll see the master bedroom with a 5ft king-size oak bed, dressed in luxurious, soft cotton bedding. Oak wardrobe, chest of drawers, full-length mirror and Smart TV with Freesat, plus plantation shutters and curtains.

Bedroom 2, which can arranged as two 3ft single beds or zipped together as a 6ft super-king, again with pure cotton bedding. Wardrobe, chest of drawers, plus plantation shutters and curtains.

Walk-through to the kitchen with contemporary grey units and solid wood worktops. Integrated fridge-freezer and dishwasher, electric hob and combination microwave/oven/grill. Garden & river views.

Family bathroom has bath and shower cubicle, low-level W.C. and basin. Washer/dryer in cupboard.

Large living area with corner sofa, oak coffee table, sideboard and bookshelf. 43" Smart TV with Freesat. Guests are welcome to log into their own Netflix/Amazon Prime accounts.

Dining area with table and six chairs.

Outside:

A private terrace with rattan-effect sofas and glass-topped table. Gas barbecue and hardwood sun loungers with cushions. Cantilevered parasol. The lawn is shared with Demelza 1 and Demelza 2.

Parking:

Private parking for one car only. For subsequent vehicles, there is a public car park just up the hill, charged at £2 per day.

Additional:

Included: Bed linen, electricity, oil central heating, Wi-Fi, and towels. Guests are asked to please supply their own beach towels.

Use of shared, outdoor heated pool May 'til September.

Local facilities: Beach and Ferry Boat Inn 50 yards. Foot ferry across the Helford Village on site. Local shop selling basics, plus hairdresser, café and Red Lion pub in Mawnan Smith. All facilities in Falmouth 6 miles away.
