This two-bedroom lodge is a wonderful choice for families and groups wanting to explore the delights of rural Cornwall, whilst only a car journey away from the breath-taking coastline, making it a fabulous choice for all types of visitors. Once you’ve parked up off-road, make your way to your new abode, stepping indoors to find the open-plan living space, both compact yet well-equipped for a self-catered getaway. Make use of the kitchen and its handy appliances, where you can rustle up hearty meals before setting the drop-leaf dining table, or the patio furniture, resting on the decked area. End the evening by cosying up on the sofa, with the TV in sight, before completing your nightly routine in the shower room. Two bedrooms are on offer, including a double and a twin, where you can rest and rejuvenate ahead of your Cornish itinerary. Start the day by exploring the village of St Merryn and its amenities, including The Cornish Arms pub and the Ivy House Restaurant Padstow, offering European menus, along with a selection of shops to stock up on the essentials. Venture out to the bustling harbour town of Padstow, just a few miles away, with a hub of shops and restaurants to take advantage of, along with Padstow Museum and the National Lobster Hatchery. Take a drive to the town of Wadebridge for its historic bridge, independent boutiques, and a craft brewery, before heading to the bustling seaside town of Newquay, where you can discover the thrill of surfing with various opportunities to learn or take a wander along the golden sands or the dramatic headland of Towan Beach. St Merryn is a typical Cornish village, located within two miles of the coast and close to the picturesque harbour and fishing port of Padstow. Surrounded by some of Cornwall's best surfing beaches and golf courses, St Merryn is a holidaymaker's dream, offering two pubs, three restaurants, a chinese takeaway, a chip shop, mini markets and a Post Office, yet St Merryn remains within easy reach of the area's visitor attractions. The vibrant town of Newquay is eleven miles down the road, boasting three major beaches, the National Surf Centre and an endless supply of rolling surf, making it a paradise for watersports enthusiasts. Newquay also offers good shopping, a zoo, a Sea Life centre and a variety of nightspots, clubs, pubs and restaurants. Set back from the main holiday crowds, St Merryn is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area at your leisure.
