Gwedhen is a peaceful and quiet cottage in Padstow, Cornwall, praised for its lovely location close to beautiful beaches and providing a fantastic base for exploring the area. Guests have enjoyed the sunset views from the terrace and the comfort of the property, though some noted areas for improvement in maintenance and provided suggestions for enhancements.

The property has been described as extremely clean and modern by some guests, but others have reported issues with cobwebs and outdoor areas needing attention. The mixed feedback suggests good internal cleanliness with room for improvement externally.

The cottage's location is highly praised for being close to seven beaches and central for visits around Cornwall, offering a tranquil setting and beautiful sunset views, indicating a very desirable location.

Guests have found the beds comfortable and the stay enjoyable, with a peaceful environment contributing to the comfort. However, some guests mentioned the property being compact and the need for additional kitchen equipment.

The property is well-equipped according to some, but others have suggested the need for more kitchen equipment, sun loungers, a drying area, and clearer rubbish disposal instructions. Maintenance issues like woodworm and a corroded handrail were also mentioned.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews provided, so it is not possible to assess this category.

The property could use a bit of care and attention. A lot of the fittings have gone rusty from the salt air - not unusual but would be better to change them out so the property looks more cared for. Also the little deck was in need of repair and the garden and outside pots were pretty sad and uncared for. Also would be nice to have a smart TV in the property or let people now so they can bring their own sticks.
