Exceptional value for money, a wonderfully considered barn and original cottage conversion with so much space! The living/dining/kitchen area with the high vaulted ceiling makes for a very sociable area for either a family or two couples with the potential for extra visitors sleeping in this space. The downstairs bedroom and bathrooms means customers with mobility issues only have 2 small steps to navigate. Large bath and walk in shower with plenty of hot water for everyone. Amazing dark sky location for star gazing from the large (almost) enclosed garden that dogs and children will enjoy throughout the year, with patio furniture and a BBQ for the warmer months. 2 areas to sit in front of the fire and unwind in the evening. The owner went the extra mile to ensure we arrived safely by sending a video of how to get to the extension of their wonderful farmhouse and made lots of suggestions for local beaches, pubs and attractions. We will definitely be back again.

Stayed w/c 5th Oct 2024 with 3 dogs. Recently completed to an incredibly high standard, and pictures do not do this property justice. The hosts are so friendly and want you to have the best time possible. On arrival you drive across a gravelled courtyard and through 2 big solid gates which you can shut if you wish. You are then in a large area with parking for several cars with a garage and carport (shown on the photos) and this is for your own use, and totally secure. The car port also has electric sockets which is helpful for drying dogs off with blasters, or hanging stuff for drying etc… The Carthouse is very well appointed, with everything you’d expect from a quality holiday let. Regarding kitchen area all things supplied, kitchen towel x2, cleaner spray, dishwasher tablets, tea, coffee and sugar (bought our own so don’t know what make of coffee). Excellent bathroom with walk in shower, and plenty of space. Very, very comfortable bed. Rear garden is big with a gas BBQ and nice wicker patio furniture, and I can imagine it would be amazing in the summer. Very private and relaxing. Can’t find fault at all. I am actually amazed it was so reasonably priced for the quality of accommodation and only 7 miles from Truro. Brilliant place.
