Guests say

Kernyk is a well-received cottage in a stunning Cornish village, praised for its proximity to the beach and local amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped space, comfortable beds, and powerful shower. The welcome pack is a delightful touch, though its presence should not be expected. Some guests suggest updates and improvements, but the charm and location often outweigh these concerns.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found Kernyk to be well-kept, with a few noting it as spotlessly clean. However, there were instances where cleanliness did not meet expectations, including reports of a dirty kitchen and bathroom. These seem to be the exception rather than the rule.

The location is consistently lauded for its beauty and convenience, being close to the beach and local eateries. The village's charm and accessibility to coastal paths are highly valued by guests.

Guests generally find the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, with a few noting the seating could be improved. The comfort of the mattresses received mixed reviews, suggesting a subjective preference.

The cottage is praised for being well-equipped and having a powerful shower. However, some guests feel that certain areas, such as the lounge and bathroom, require updating. There are also mentions of maintenance issues like mould and loose wires.

The welcome pack is frequently mentioned and appreciated, indicating a level of thoughtfulness. However, as not all reviews mention this, and to ensure future guests have accurate expectations, it's important to note that such gestures, while lovely, are not guaranteed.

I actually brought one of the kitchen chairs into the Lounge to sit on to watch television. My wife also found the Bed to be particularly uncomfortable as well.

Very well equipped. Excellent location. Very quite and close to the beach, coffee shop and restaurant (The Cabin) which was a great place to eat.

Hope to book it again next year. My only fault was a rail in the shower for disabled safety. Thank you.
