Two Threes cottage in Penzance, Cornwall, offers a peaceful location with a friendly owner providing helpful local information. The property is spacious and well-equipped, ideal for exploring the area's attractions. Guests appreciate the quiet setting and the proximity to beautiful spots, with some returning for another stay.
Several guests reported the cottage could be cleaner, with issues such as dust, cobwebs, and unclean kitchenware. The property seems to require more thorough cleaning, especially given the expectations during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The location is highly praised for being a perfect base to explore Cornwall, with proximity to beaches and local attractions. It is described as peaceful and ideal for family retreats.
The comfort of the cottage received mixed reviews. Some guests found the beds too soft and the pillows of poor quality, while others were pleased with the comfort provided. The need for better lighting and seating in bedrooms was mentioned.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and newly refurbished areas. However, maintenance issues like a damaged bathroom door, lack of Wi-Fi, and the need for a blind in the bathroom window were noted.
While guests mentioned receiving a cream tea on arrival, the expectations were not always met, and it is not guaranteed. There is no sufficient information to score thoughtfulness accurately, as the reviews do not consistently reference this aspect.

House was spacious with good kitchen and bathrooms. The thing our children missed most was Wifi! Tourist tips we received from owner were very helpfull. Garden was nice, chairs not the most comfortable. House overall could do with a bit more coziness (rugs, tables etc)

There might have been 6 people staying two weeks. Not very welcoming. 2. The carbon monoxide detector went off late one night. We thought it was the smoke detector making the noise and it took us quite a time to locate the problem. We contacted the owner who did not get our calls as it was late and she had gone to bed. Thankfully it was just a battery problems and we removed the batteries and replaced with new one next day. After speaking to the owner we were assured the boiler had been serviced in August but the sticker on the boiler said it had not been done. I realise this is a 'one off' problem but at the time, it was worrying. 3. Apart from the above, we had a good holiday in a lovely holiday home.
