About this property

This pretty house, nestled in the heart of Portreath, is ideal for families or friends looking for a relaxing seaside holiday in West Cornwall. Spend the day on the sandy beach 100 metres away from the property or stroll along the historic harbour. Popular with surfers, couples and families, the village has a selection of local shops and pubs. There is direct access to the South West Coast Path for walkers, taking you to Carvannel Downs (a 1.5-mile walk) and through the different local habitats and past the stone ruins of old wheelhouses.

This attractive property, set over two levels, has a coastal theme and calming sea blue hues in the decor that invite you to unwind from the moment you enter. Downstairs, the contemporary kitchen area has everything you'll need to rustle up some tasty treats and has a dining table, making this a lovely social space to catch up with family and friends as you plan the next day of adventure. Head to the beautifully styled lounge and unwind on one of the comfortable sofas while watching your favourite films on the Smart TV. Pop a log in the wood burner for a cosy ambience for cooler months. Upstairs, you will find a king-size and a twin bedroom, both light and spacious, and the bathroom. Outside to the front is a lawned garden with a small sitting area, and to the rear is a secluded patio with garden furniture, the ideal spot for al fresco dining on fine evenings.

Hire a bike and cycle the 'mining trails' close to Portreath's various woods or along the Coast to Coast trail to Devoran (11.5 miles). Alternatively, drive along the coast just 6.5 miles to Godrevy Lighthouse and Mutton Cove. The ever-popular St Ives is only 16 miles distant and beckons with sandy beaches and delicious fresh seafood eateries to enjoy.

This house is fabulous. Not only is it spotlessley clean and comfortable... a real home from home, but it is superbly located for so many activities. We cycled from the house along the coast to coast trail, and around the tin mines " Great Flat Lode trail", we walked to the beach ( I even body boarded and the water was so warm), the lifeguards are friendly too, important if are a novice ! The harbour is just outside the house. We visited National Trust properties and also went on a boat trip as the whole area is very accessible. An ace holiday. Great for couples and familes alike. The garage is useful for storing bikes, the open plan downstairs makes for cosy evenings in. The local fish and chips are very tasty. Highly recommend, for great Seaside Stories.

Really lovely place to stay - central to the local shops and beach. Perfect home away from home as well with all the amenities.

Fantastic house, spotlessly clean and in a perfect location right by the beach. We'd recommend to anyone and will definitely be back.
