Rosevean House is half a mile from Trevaunance Cove which is a fantastic beach for surfers but also for those simply wishing to enjoy the scenery or explore the splendid rock pools. There are two other nearby beaches, Chapel Porth which is owned by the National Trust, and Porthtowan which has been previously described by the Telegraph as the UK’s best beach for learning to surf. The area is spectacular for walking but is also becoming increasingly popular for cyclists. The Peterville Inn in the St Agnes was voted Visit England's pub of the Year 2024. St Agnes also benefits from a butcher, two bakers, two small supermarkets, two greengrocers, and a fish 'deli' and there is a fishmonger on the way to Chapel Porth – so it is easy to shop local and eat fresh.

There are steps from the kitchen / dining area to the terrace, and again down into the garden, however it is possible to avoid these by going out of the front door and using a ramped access.
