About this property

This charming studio apartment is situated in 1.3 acres of land near the owner’s home in the village of Polgooth, two miles from St Austell. Ideal for a romantic break and perfectly located for visiting Cornwall's top attractions such as the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project and close to the beautiful villages of Mevagissey and Charlestown. This apartment has an open plan living accommodation with a double bed, kitchen, dining area and sitting area. There is also a shower room and all beautifully furnished throughout, so you will have everything you need for a comfortable and quiet break away. Outside there are two private patios where you can relax with a cup of coffee or a refreshing drink whilst planning your next day’s adventures. Polgooth is well known to locals for the famous 16th century classic Cornish pub, the Polgooth Inn, serving the very best local produce and excellent locally brewed ales. Set in a beautiful rural valley the pub is open all day every day and a visit to your local will show you why many people travel from around the County to enjoy the experience provided. With cosy fires throughout the winter, to sitting out in the garden listening to live music in the summer, this splendid pub is steeped in history and is a must visit. For days out you are spoilt for choice with the famous leading attractions as well as the many fishing villages for which the south coast of Cornwall is justly famous all close by and within a short drive. This lovely studio offers comfortable accommodation in a great village location to be enjoyed all year round. Note: This cottage is next to Ref 3756 and 928741, together they sleep 16.

With its history rooted firmly in tin mining, the village of Polgooth is now a quiet settlement on the outskirts of St Austell, frequented by visitors enjoying the area's outstanding countryside. Just 3 miles from the sea, the village is close to several lovely beaches, and the south-west coastal path also runs close by.

The hosts are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. This is our sixth visit to chapel green, and we have booked for Easter and August next year.

Beautiful quiet location in easy and short reach of shops, beaches, restaurants and places to visit. Definitely would go again. Apologies to David and Julia, we left a day early and as they were out were not able to thank them.

The hot tub and pool were really wonderful too. Unfortunately my daughter and her partner, who live nearby and were the reason for our visit , developed covid at the beginning of our stay so we very reluctantly decided to leave early. Our dogs were very happy there as well and welcomed.
