This gorgeous semi-detached cottage has been finely restored from a 300-year old inn, which stood derelict for many years, in the centre of St Columb Major. The cottage has beautiful finishing and contemporary styling, with a light and airy feel in the open plan living area, which has original timber flooring throughout, and with a beautiful Shaker-style kitchen with black granite worktops and a natural slate floor. Perfect for a group of four, this St Columb cottage has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The stone courtyard at the rear of your cottage in St Columb catches the sun, and is a pleasant area to enjoy a refreshing drink. It had everything we needed and extremely comfy. A perfect spot to visit Padstow, the surrounding area and visit lots the beaches. I would highly recommend The Old Smithy.

Access into and particularly out of the driveway off Union Hill is bordering on dangerous on account of virtually zero visibility of traffic on North Street/Broad Street. It would be worth exploring whether signage and mirrors (opposite the access) could be installed.

Itâs a well situated and delightful cottage. It has everything you need for your holiday stay. Itâs in a perfect position to explore all areas of Cornwall and thereâs a shop and pub nearby. Itâs also pet friendly which is a double bonus for us.
